Osceola County Real Estate Broker Linked to Murder

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — An Osceola County real estate broker, who lives in a high-priced neighborhood, is being linked to a drug deal that led to murder. Bradley Swanson was arrested at his home in a ChampionsGate subdivision Thursday, in connection with a man found murdered earlier this month in Poinciana. Detectives think Swanson knows more about the murder than he’s saying. Swanson told Eyewitness News “no comment” as he was walked into the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives said Swanson sold a large amount of marijuana that was found in the trunk of Michael Kapler’s car. Kapler was found shot to death inside his car on April 11 near Poinciana on Reaves Road. While detectives still don’t have any murder suspects, they think Swanson could lead them to the killer. “He’s come in, but he’s come in with an attorney and he was not providing sufficient information to the detectives,” said Twis Lizasuain with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. Swanson’s neighbors didn’t want to go on camera, but said there are rowdy parties at his home almost every weekend. Other neighbors, like Annick Devolder, said Swanson fit into the neighborhood and was always polite. “They seemed to be very nice people, so I never would have thought that he would get involved in something like that,” Devolder said. But, detectives said, Swanson sold drugs and now is allegedly linked to a murder.
Swanson bonded out of the Osceola County jail overnight.
