Osceola County Commissioner Bill Lane Elected

Osceola County, Florida – Today, Osceola County Commissioner Bill Lane was unanimously elected by the LYNX Board of Directors to serve as Vice Chairman. His term begins October 1, 2007. Seminole County Commission Chairman Carlton Henley serves as Chairman of the LYNX Board.

“It’s an honor to represent the citizens of Osceola County on the LYNX Board and ensures that our citizens have a voice in the future planning of bus service,” said Commissioner Lane.

As the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority, LYNX provides public transportation services primarily for Osceola, Orange and Seminole Counties. LYNX daily fixed-route bus service provides more than 82,000 passenger trips each weekday spanning an area of approximately 2,500 square miles with a resident population of more than 1.8 million. Other services include LYMMO, a free downtown Orlando circulator, CarPool and VanPool services, ACCESS LYNX Paratransit Service, and Road Rangers roadside assistance program on Interstate 4.
