Juvenile Without Driver’s License Arrested for Grand Theft Auto

Osceola County * On December 27 at approximately 1:12 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at Michigan Avenue and Donegan Avenue in Kissimmee. The driver of the vehicle turned off the road into a grassy field and crashed into a ditch. The driver was able to get the vehicle out of the ditch and drive away.
Deputies did not pursue the vehicle but were able to locate it again at Mill Creek Place and Michigan Avenue. They observed the vehicle on the side of the road after it hit another car. The Aviation Unit and K-9 Units help apprehend the suspect after he exited the car and attempted to flee the area. He was found hiding in a van at Preston’s Auto Salvage.
The juvenile is from Stuart, Florida was driving without a driver’s license. The vehicle he was driving was stolen from Palm Beach County. He was arrested and charged with the following:
Grand Theft Auto, Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement, Resisting without Violence, Burglary to a Structure/Business, Burglary to an Unoccupied Conveyance, Driving without a Valid License
The juvenile was taken to the Osceola County Juvenile Detention Center.
