Mrs. Basel is being taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center for a physical evaluation. She will also be evaluated regarding her mental health. Mrs. Basel declined to tell deputies where she has been since Friday night, though she did say that she heard helicopters and sirens and that she was “hiding.” Based on her condition and appearance (some scratches and minor bruises), Mrs. Basel likely spent time outdoors and in the woods during the time she was missing. She was found this morning as a resident in the area saw her walking through their yard in the same neighborhood/area where she lives.
