Osceola County * Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies arrested
John Fitzgerald Henderson and charged him with Aggravated Battery with a
Deadly Weapon and Resisting with Violence. The incident occurred on
January 26 at approximately 9:00 a.m. Witnesses indicated Henderson and
the victim, Charles Dana Martin were involved in an altercation outside
the Food Spot, 881 Towne Center Drive in Poinciana. Witnesses told
deputies Henderson pulled out a knife and began stabbing Martin. Martin
was airlifted to ORMC in critical condition. Henderson fled on foot but
deputies were able to locate and apprehend him a short distance away.
Henderson attempted to resist deputies but was eventually placed into
custody. He was taken to the Osceola County jail and charged with
Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Resisting with Violence. The
investigation is on-going at this time.
