Space Available for March SAFE Course for Women

Osceola County – The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications
for women interested in attending the March 13, 2008, SAFE course held at the Osceola
County Sheriff’s Office Administration Building.

Self Defense Awareness Familiarization

Exchange or SAFE is designed to educate women on how to protect themselves if they
should become a victim. The 2-hour class teaches that 90% of self-defense is awareness,
risk reduction and avoiding confrontation, while only 10% is physical. The program
has been taught to teens and women between the ages of 13 and 97 for over 20 years.
The class is free and available to female residents who live in Osceola County.

Applications are available at the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, 2601 E.
Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee or online at www.osceolasheriff.org.
