The following shelters will be open at 7 p.m. Monday in Osceola County:
Special Needs Barney Veal Center, 700 Generation Point, Kissimmee
General Pop. Harmony High School, 3601 Arthur J. Gallagher Blvd., Kissimmee
Kissimmee Middle School, 2410 Dyer Blvd., Kissimmee

Osceola County Schools closed Tuesday, August 19th

Osceola School’s Superintendent Dr. Grego just informed me that all Osceola Schools will be closed Tuesday 8/19/08 due to Tropical storm Fay. As of right now school’s will be open Wednesday 8/20/08, however that could change depending on the weather.

At approximately 11:00 pm, Sunday, August 17, 2008, a family group was traveling back to Poinciana after visiting in Pinellas County. They were traveling east on Lake Hatchineha Road, Haines City. The family occupied two vehicles as they traveled back into Polk County.
