POINCIANA – Residents living in the 55+ community of Solivita have band together to oppose a possible incorporation. Members of the Save Our Solivita say they aren’t against Poinciana becoming a city. They just don’t want to be a part of it. Apart from paying taxes as a community development district, Solivita homeowners have to pay “hefty” association and club fees “that provide services that a normally would be provided by a city,” said Lita Epstein, SOS communications director. She said those fees won’t go away for Solivita residents if Poinciana incorporates.

So then why oppose it? I’d like to understand their position? Why not be a part of it?
