Posted on: April 26, 2007

Osceola County * On April 25 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence at 216 Strathmore Circle in the Remington Subdivision, Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the 69-year-old victim and his wife who indicated they had just pulled into their garage when they were approached by an unknown Hispanic male who was armed. The male victim overheard the suspect tell his wife to go inside the house, but he instead told her to run across the street to get help. When the suspect heard this, he struck the victim on the back of the head. The victim fought back and struck the suspect. The suspect grabbed the victim’s Rolex watch and fled on foot. As he was running away, the suspect tripped and fell. The victim was able to pull out his concealed weapon and attempted to shoot the suspect. Forensics technicians were unable find any evidence to indicate if the suspect was injured. Neither victim sustained serious injury. Aviation and K-9 Units were called in to assist with the search, but were unable to locate the suspect. The victims describe the suspect as a Hispanic male approximately 6’1” with a dark colored hoodie sweatshirt and jeans. Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at (407) 348-2222 or Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477).
