Osceola County * On July 12 at approximately 1:48 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 2310 Fortune Road in Kissimmee in reference to a burglar alarm. Upon arrival, deputies noticed the front door was smashed with a rock. During this same time, they received information a suspicious person wearing dark clothes was seen running away from the business carrying a bag full of bottles.
With the assistance of K-9 and Aviation, deputies located the 14-year old suspect walking along the fence near the bus barn on New Beginnings Circle. The suspect, Cody Lee White (DOB 3/11/93) was taken into custody and questioned. White told deputies he stole several bottles of liquor from the Kissimmee Liquor Store. Deputies located several liquor bottles in an area on the TECO campus that linked White to the incident. After further investigation, White cooperated with deputies and enough information was provided to not only charge him with the incident, but also charge him with another burglary to the same business a week before on July 8, 2007. Deputies are also investigating his involvement in several other burglaries in the area. White was charged with Burglary and Petit Theft. He was taken to the Osceola County Juvenile Detention Center.
