POINCIANA | Cleared ground and bulldozers are a common sight in this constantly growing community but the ones that were the focal point of a ground-
breaking ceremony recently were especially welcome for local residents.
“All I can say is, it’s about time,” said Allan Collins, a businessman who has lived in Poinciana for a number of years.
The ceremony marked the beginning of construction of a 7,270-square-foot, full-service post office to replace the tiny store-front postal facility the community has complained about for years.
“I’m actually stunned that we’re here after 12 years of trying to get a post office for Poinciana,” said Tony Iorio, vice president of land development for Avatar Properties Inc., the primary developers of Poincana.
